slime moulds are quite a broad group some of them are rather unusual.

the ones that can "plan " a series of routes between resources for colonial expansion are neat and the ones that form themselve ...

i like tomatoes, i like mice.

discombobulating 2 of them while murdering slugs did remind me that gardening needs to be done for all involved

oops i just accidentally lamped 2 different mice a minute apart , up close and personal with a 3w led bike light, while i was conducting a cull of the slimey hoard

a month in a go is wet.

i was in a place where we had some serious rain, a 7 1/2 inch tall coffee jar rain gauge was full after a few hours.

it was on a hill and i had goretex and a nice bender ...

damp can be worse than drought, at least with the latter the use of a bucket can mitigate some of the problems

no shame mate , i had no idea some composts were less than reliable if they came in a bag.

i would have thought reputation was a high priority but it seems the odd dodgy batch or year still works f ...

i have had problems with them in the past.

as a general thing bagged composts vary quite a bit from maker to maker from year to year and even batch to batch.

the area near here with green tiger beetles might well have an ironstone flavour iirc there are iron stone/iron rich clay layers in the geology
the hydrology is very "adjusted" at several depths so ...

i dont remember any in london or more than a couple of examples in the south east that i saw in 14 yrs .
