less escapey than many phibs is a plus.

re kit , they do not need a huge tank but for a decent habitat and to make temp control easier quite big is good.

iirc the one i looked after was in a 4'x ...

i must have had some odd pets and beasts to look after but yep i know them.
i looked after one for a couple of years.

pretty easy, a bit smelly

if you have your own gear and storage and the pv part is not connected to the grid or having to use their kit/services seems sensible

try this first
if the affected rad has a thermostatic valve you can remove the top bit by unscrewing it and then try operating the valve by pressing the little plunger thing
iirc no top=fully open ...

it could be a thermostatic valve but the bathroom rad is often the one that is permanently on with two normal valves.

drain, flush and refill it, if it is an airlock it should clear, even a lump or sludge might clear.
