The seeds I have grown are from the Organic Gardening Catalogue and are called 'Tres Hative de Barbentane'.

It does say on the packet grow on in greenhouse or cold frame.

Thanks for all the tips - I like the cardboard idea - wonder if my local supermarket will let me have their old cardboard?

As to the carpet - have plenty of that in the house which needs ripping up ...
