You can get easy thread needles to which have a strange shaped hole. You don't actually have to put the thread through it, you slide it up the needle and it goes in that way.

I've used vaseline in the past with great success. I buy a very cheap version from Proper Job and use it for cuts and to kill scaley leg mite. Fab stuff to have on hand:)

I use the same recipe as oldish chris and it never fails to turn out perfectly. Sometimes I add spices, sometimes I add pears, it's always great.
