https://www.broadoakland.co.uk/ I saw an advert in FG with 'Land for Sale' - not quite sure what they are doing, but it seems like an expensive way to buy land

I know the patch they are trying to sell in Worcestershire, SO 806 532 GB Grid Floods regularly, nobody has ever grown anything useful on it, and large layby next to it makes it a popular field for dog walkers and anglers, After the last lot of roadworks they dumped all the spoil there! I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole on that evidence alone.

A lot of them seem to try to suggest that there's the possibility of planning permission in the future.

Floods regularly, nobody has ever grown anything useful on it, and quote] Any one got any useful ideas for fields that flood regularly- my sis and I have just inherited a 9 acre one! It has a tenant on it with cows (for next 10 years) Some one suggest willow beds- is this a good idea or is this type of land best for grazing?

It depends upon its context within the landscape.

Water meadows are dangerously endangered & their wildlife benefits any commercial land use. If your's is one of these (we are lucky enough to live near an internationally important nature reserve built upon an expanse of about 2000 acres of riverside grasslands, in which to only way to maintain these habitats is careful grazing & cutting management with cattle & sheep (even better if they are native British breeds). They are managed by English Nature to ensure the balance of wildlife, landscape & agriculture are maintained.

People have been grazing their cattle (& sheep) for thousands of years on this fertile flood plain, it is nice to think that this tradition is maintained, especially when so many similar habitats have been lost.

Eight grand for half an acre?...Bugger off!...Whats the agricultural rate right now?.....One and a half grand, is it?...They are a brand new company, 18 months old, selling to city dwellers with cash to throw around!
