2) Rural Studio; Samuel Mockbee and an American Architecture of decency : Anrea Oppenhiemer Dean and Timothy Hursley.
A great introduction to one of the greats and an infectious approach to form and function.
3) The ecology of building materials : Bjorn Berge
Great overview of the true impact of the building process.
4) Frank Lloyd Wrights Fallingwater; The House and its History : Donald Hoffman
Fascinating account of the birth of a masterpiece (and compulsive reading for anyone embarking on a build!) |
