I must have hundreds, but I've no idea where they all go. Perahps they are in-demand borrower comsumables, or something?

One would make a nice hall carpet for the Borrowers, or a wall hanging

Great. now I won't be able to keep the felt ones, either! I think they must wallpaper with the cardboard ones!

I wondered about those things that slip over the handle of a metal-handled saucepan/frying pan. They've probably got a proper name but I don't know what it is. Or whether felt would be suitable. I'll give up now.

I'd definitely buy a pot holder for using when picking up the stove top kettle - someone bought me a le creuset one but I would love a more individual one

I made a few yesterday to see how quick they'd make up. I added some silk and later today I'll embroider them. I think they look quite nice

WW - you can make a variety of things from felting mistakes - I subscribe to the school of 'There's no such thing as a felting mistake, only something you hadn't planned on making'

I wouldn't buy a floppy bookmarker.

I would buy a key ring though. Ever thought about doing some of those? Might be a good way to use up oddments too?

Also, can you make small boxes - either open or ones with lids on? (sorry, perhaps you do already): I always think they are handy and as I said before, I like your colours/art so that sort of thing might be an idea?

Maybe for you professionals, there aren't, but you ought to see some of my amateur balls ups! Felting isn't too bad actually, but I managed to make mittens without thumbs and cast on too tightly for my first pairs of socks, so you can't get them on or off!

I've made embroidered bookmarks in the past, backed them with ribbon or felt, and then slid a piece of card down between the two layers and stitched it closed which stops them being floppy.

I bought a handmade embroidered and beaded jewellery box for the friend whose party we went to last night. That's something else you could do maybe?

Actually, they're not that floppy when they're done

I really like the idea of keyrings and boxes. Will definitely give them a go

I made bookmarks out of beads and things last year and they went quite well. They were expensive to make and I didn't really feel I could charge anymore so I stopped doing them. Thise look lovely Stacey.

go soft and floppy - if its too thick it will ruin the spine of the book...

incidentally from the title I thought it was a great way to reuse all those floppy discs I have lying about...
