Thought id start a new thread about this...sorry if discussed elsewhere...

I have seen that there are 'hybird power' solutions out there for off grid power...basically an inverter and a battery bank bundled together, which control the generator.
Are these system more efficient than existing setups e.g. a genny connected to an inverter and a battery bank all separate?

Whats the difference?...hybeid systems do seem to cost a bit more.

Some of the companies selling these hybrid solutions also offer remote monitoring of these systems...and can make changes remotley.

Coming from an IT background this sort of stuff interests me!

Is anyone on here running such a system to generate electricity?

No they wont be any more efficient.

Its just a bundled system.

My system is fully automated but from bits & bobs I have chosen.
