...which is nearly finished, thanks to Katieowl's wonderful OH, Niall and the team of brilliant chaps who have all worked on it.
We christened it over the weekend with a couple of dinners and plenty of red and white wine


This was how it was when the house was first bought...



Then Fin, Katieowl's son, and Jamie, her daughter's boyfriend, set about taking all the cement off the walls and uncovering the original fireplace behind a ton of cement blocks...







Then the room was cleared up ready for Dante the plasterer to come in...



Then Niall started on the woodwork...



The plastering started...







And loads of plastering, woodwork, painting and a new oiled oak floor later, I have a finished (save for a few bits and pieces) dining room and I am thrilled to bits with it!
Sorry about the quality of the photos - they were taken on my phone in fading light over the weekend...
