I'm thinking of small things that poeple can buy if they like my work but can't afford the more expensive stuff. I thought about bookmarks but wondered if they'd be too floppy. I'll embroider over them so they'll be a bit stiffer than just plain felt and I suppose I could add a stiffener to the back (either sewn on or painted) but I kinda like the idea of keeping it all natural materials iyswim.

Whaddya think, Go-er or No-er?

I wondered about those things that slip over the handle of a metal-handled saucepan/frying pan. They've probably got a proper name but I don't know what it is. Or whether felt would be suitable. I'll give up now.

I'd use a floppy bookmark too though I normally just use whatever I find first - old bills, recepits, paper scraps....

Oooh - felted oven gloves (I know that's not what you meant, Sean!) We go through oven gloves like there's no tommorow, and felted ones would be great. And I could practice stuff, and it wouldn't matter if it went wrong!

I would use any kind of bookmark, to keep my page. Ive been known to use packets of seeds, old recipts, train tickets (that caused a fuss!) anything to hand (ahich the bookmark never is!)

I tend to use whatever is around - scraps of paper mostly. I actually prefer something fairly flexible.

But I do rather like the sound of a felt one.

Embroidery is my hobby-----so most of my friends and relations have an embroidered bookmark somewhere in the house----or at least they do when I call round

One would make a nice hall carpet for the Borrowers, or a wall hanging
